Looking back in Woodland History with the opening of the 2003 Indigenous Art Exhibition, the Woodland Cultural Centre dedicated a gallery space to former staff member Stan Hill.
“This honor was bestowed upon Stan Hill for his decades of work in the distinctly Iroquoian art of bone carving. Stan’s continued dedication to accurately representing the themes and values of the Iroquian realm to the outside world, has not only won him international, artistic acclaim, but has become the standard by which all other Iroquoian bone carvers are taught.”
