The Woodland Cultural Centre is hosting a virtual Traditional Games workshop on February 15 at 6pm. Your donation will help support our education department to create and deliver virtual programming at the Woodland Cultural Centre. We want to continue to deliver the highest quality programs centered on a Hodinohsho:ni worldview, celebrating, and sharing Indigenous cultures, languages, and art.

Participants will learn about several of the games played by the Hodinohshoni people long ago and some that are still played today. Games include bone and toggle, scattering sticks, bone dice, double ball (dingball), long ball, lacrosse, Snowsnake, and snowshoeing. Our education staff will guide you through this session and host a Q&A session at the end of the workshop.

This is the first time we are offering this virtual session to the public! Don’t miss your opportunity to learn about traditional Hodinohshoni games.
