Woodland Cultural Centre Presents By Design: Fashionable Inspiration Exhibition. Explore the history of Indigenous fashion arts and traditional practices in fashion, craft and textile work. This exhibition will celebrate key pieces that created visibility for Indigenous fashion internationally. Experience being involved in a process of design, touching and making with our open studio workspace.
All workshop creations made by visitors will help create our half of a community shawl in partnership with AGH. This shawl will come together symbolizing our two communities sharing knowledge, resources and building relationships. Register now for our February 18 workshop or drop in until March 17 to learn basic beading, plant-based fabric dying and traditional ribbon designs.
