Join the Woodland Cultural Centre on Saturday February 17, 2024 from 12pm-4pm for a day filled with family fun!
We will be celebrating the opening of our new permanent collection exhibition, Land Matters: Shifting Ground and in the Stan Hill Gallery, Before All Else. This exhibition centers on land stewardship, identity, and individual and community relationships, focusing on resilience, cultural continuity, and diversity.
Then join us for a corn soup lunch followed by a lyed corn demonstration and a community social. This is in partnership with De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Services.
12:00 – 12:30 – Introductions and exhibition openings
12:30 – 2:00 – Lunch and free flow through galleries and craft tables
2:00 – 3:00 – Lyed corn demonstration (outdoors, weather dependent)
3:00 – 4:00 – Community Social
