Why did we "Save the Evidence"?In 2013, roof and structural damage nearly destroyed the former Mohawk Institute Residential School.We had a choice: let the building fade or fight to preserve it. Through community consultation, 96% said: save it! Not just as bricks and beams, but as evidence of the truth.The Save the Evidence campaign was launched. Thousands of supporters stood with survivors.
