The Three Sisters Soup is a traditional dish inspired by the "Three Sisters" – corn, beans, and squash. Historically these three crops were often grown together in our agriculture, each supporting the other in a symbiotic relationship: corn provides a stalk for the beans to climb, beans fix nitrogen in the soil for the other plants, and squash spreads along the ground, shading out weeds.The soup typically combines these three ingredients, along with herbs, spices, and sometimes broth or stock, to create a hearty and flavorful dish. It's both nutritious and symbolic of sustainability and balance in nature.
