Meet Artisan Shelly Squire, Owner Behind The Brand Our Medicines ~ Onónhkwa
Shé:kon, I am Shelley Squire, Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan. A proud mother to four remarkable daughters and wife of 29 years to a supportive husband.
On my journey of self healing and growth, I have found a passion in creating jewellery pieces using resin and the four sacred medicines-tobacco, sage, cedar and sweetgrass, as well as others. My hope is that all who acquire a piece of my jewellery will find comfort in the spiritual properties of the medicines while on their own journeys. It is an honour to share the medicines from Mother Earth as it is for all of us to benefit from, and to honour her gifts.
In Peace and Harmony to all,

Tree of Peace
Like the strong, resilient tree, we too endure many stages of change. As we weather through our life journey of changes, we may remember to stay grounded in the face of the diverse paths we choose. This Peace Token includes four sacred medicines tobacco, sage, cedar and sweetgrass. May you harness their energies when you require them.
Smudge Pot Meditation
Draw from the energy of two of earth’s elements, water and earth as well as the four medicines tobacco, sage, cedar, and sweetgrass. Harness the purpose of any of these properties, at any time by holding, breathing and focusing on the smudge pot when needed.
